SQL/BI Developer

We are currently in the market for an SQL developer who will be responsible for designing databases, developing reports, ad-hoc queries, and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance of internal and external database systems. You will also work with the DBA team to optimize in-house applications and SQL statements as necessary while establishing and maintaining best practices. You will help solve all database usage issues across multiple projects and create and document solutions to active internal and external problems in order to help avoid similar problems in the future.



  • Write SQL reports for various business needs
  • Create, maintain, optimize stored procedures, database and ETL processes
  • Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements
  • Prepare documentations and specifications
  • Profile server resource usage, and optimize and tweak as necessary
  • Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
  • Collaborate with other team members
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Strong knowledge and experience with Business Intelligence(BI) tools
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases
  • Experience with some of the modern relational databases
  • Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements
  • Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
  • Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
  • Capable of troubleshooting common database issues
  • Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling server resource usage and optimizing it
  • Problem solving, analytical and good communication skills
